59 Stellations of the Icosahedron
The is no essential numbering scheme for these stellations. This list
follows the order in Coxeter et al. [1938]
and includes their alphabetic notation for the different models. For those
which are included in Wenninger's Polyhedron
Models, the figure number he uses is given here [in brackets].
The first 32 stellations are nonchiral --- they are unchanged when viewed
in a mirror. The remaining 27 are chiral --- one version is included here
and the other is available in your mirror.
Each is given in two renderings: monochrome and five-colored. As far
as I know, no one before me has ever produced the full set of 59 stellations
in the five-color pattern (neither with paper nor bits). So I may be the
first to have seen them all, and you might be second.
